Walk along the Canal Saint Martin

Located 30 minutes by subway from Petit Chomel, the Canal Saint-Martin is a mythical place of Paris. Very busy in the evening, you can stroll along the banks and watch the pleasure boats that borrow different locks to follow the drop of water. 4.55 km along the Canal Saint-Martin is located mainly in the 10th and 11th arrondissements of Paris. It connects the Bassin de la Villette - and beyond the canal Ourcq - at Arsenal port (Marina de Paris) that communicates with the Seine. All along the banks, you will find shops and Parisian bistros for you as lunch or dinner at the bistro La Marine 55 Quai de Valmy.

To get to the Canal Saint Martin Petit Chomel since:
  • Take the metro (line 4) in Saint-Sulpice until Strasbourg Saint-Denis station
  • Take line 9 and get off at République.
  • Republic Square : follow Beaurepaire street, and Dieu street
  • Arrival Quai de Valmy along the Canal Saint-Martin
