What to do in Paris during Christmas 2021?

Illuminations of the Champs-Élysées

It's a tradition ! By launching the illuminations between Arc-de-Triomphe and Concorde, the Champs-Élysées Committee is kicking off the end-of-year celebrations in the capital. This year, Clara Luciani inaugurates the festivities on Sunday, November 21 at 6:00 p.m. in the middle of the Champs-Élysées pedestrianized for the occasion! From Sunday November 21 to Sunday January 9, 2022 inclusive, from 5:00 p.m. to 2:00 a.m. and until dawn on December 24 and 31, avenue and back-alley will wear, every evening, the red and sparkling luminous coat "Flamboyance", creation by Blachère Illumination.

Christmas markets

More than a dozen Christmas markets set up for the holidays in Paris.

A stone's throw from the Petit Chomel, do not miss the Saint-Germain-des-Prés Christmas market which is back from December 12 to January 3, 2022. Located along Boulevard Saint-Germain, at the level of the Saint Church -Germain-des-Prés, this market animates the famous Parisian district.

The Notre Dame Christmas market in Square René Viviani is also worth a visit. The best known, the Champs-Élysées Christmas market is not repeated this year. But you can enjoy the Eiffel On Ice Village, located on the Champs de Mars at the foot of the Eiffel Tower. (from December 20 to January 5, 2022)

 

The Festival du Merveilleux celebrates the Roaring Twenties

From December 26, 2021 to January 2, 2022, take advantage of the Festival du Merveilleux 2021 to visit the Pavillons de Bercy from a new perspective: that of the Roaring Twenties of the 21st century. On this occasion, the Museum of Fairground Arts, which can be visited throughout the year by registration only, will be open without an appointment or guided tours. 100 years after the avant-gardism of the Roaring Twenties, come and vibrate to the music of the era and dance like Joséphine Baker. On the program, rides, aerial magical attraction, tap dancers, musicians, puppets, mechanical music, automaton ballet and optical illusion. Something to amaze young and old!
